Creating for fun Tuesday

Hello friends! Over the weekend I met up with some friends at Custom Impressions in Bellflower for a weekend crop and some much needed me time.

I had a great time and had some time to create with my April Simon Says Stamp card kit.

I love the stamp set in this month's Sold Out kit

Here's a couple of my cards.

That lightbulb is just too cute!

I used the scraps of patterned paper from the above card to make this one.

The last time I was out at Custom Impressions I picked up Teresa Collins  Save the Date collection. Here's a card I made using the Project Life inspired 3x4 card and some other embellies from the collection.

That's it for today friends!

Have a creative day!

Albums Made Easy Mondays

Hello friends. I hope you had a great weekend! For this week's Albums Made Easy Monday I am sharing another page I created using the Snapshots 12x12 Page kit from We R Memory Keepers.

For last week's AME Monday, I used lettering on my photos with the Rhonna Designs app. For this week's page I stayed true to traditional scrapbooking and used patterned paper and embellished for my pages.

My process of working with pocket pages is to take 2 squares at a time and embellish.

 photo MyLoveTCd.jpg

Albums Made Easy pages are perfect for using up scraps and getting out those rarely used punches. I've had that heart punch for 10 years now.

 photo MyLoveTCb.jpg

I also love using border punches to enhance my inserts.

 photo MyLoveTCe.jpg

Don't forget to tell your story in your own handwriting. Yes I know...I too dislike my handwriting but it's personal and it's from you. So do it!

 photo MyLoveTCc.jpg

This page easily be done Sunday evenings so you can easily recall the events and information you wan to document.

I use my iPhone to take most of my photos now and they are set to transfer to my laptop so finding the ones I want to use is easy and fast.

I hope you are inspired to pick up some We R Memory Keepers photo inserts and give pocket page scrapbooking a try.

If you already are, share the link to your pages. I'd love to come have a look.

Thanks for stopping by today!

How I spend my days

Hello friends. I hope you are enjoying your day so far. I love crafting away in my little studio and am so thankful that I get to work with really beautiful products. Some assignments are fun and others are a true labor of love. Today I am sharing some of my Anna Griffin designs using her Pretty Papers 6x6 set available at HSN.
I really enjoyed making these 6x6 cards and using other Anna Griffin products to embellish them.

Next I have some Garden Window Card Making kit cards to share. This kit is so beautiful and loaded with amazing die cuts and stickers. I am not surprised it is sold out at HSN.

Albums Made Easy Monday

Hello friends! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Thanks for joining me for another Albums Made Easy Monday. I'm so loving the new Teresa Collins lines for Albums Made Easy! Today I am creating with the Snapshots Page kit.

I loved using this kit for a Inst-Life page I created using We R Memory Keepers Instagram photo sleeves. I had my birthday a couple weeks ago and here are a few highlights of my special day.

 photo AME472014.jpg

I placed my photos in a tic tac toe arrangement and then used the remaining 4 inserts to add some fun ephemera, stamps and dies.

I used the Rhonna Designs App to add text to my photos. It makes journaling so much more fun since I really dislike my own handwriting. After I have edited my images, I  am can choose to save them as an Instagram size which makes the easy to print out on my Cannon Selphy.

Try using overlays and cutting them to 4x4 in size to alter. I used a couple on my layouts.

I hope you found some ideas here today for your next Albums Made Easy page!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamping Royalty I am not but...

There are never losers in crafting! Hello friends! It's TGIF for many today :) For a work at home mom like myself it's an all day crafting day since I don't have kids on Fridays! Woot!

Now that all the Stamping Royalty winners have been crowned over at Paper Crafts Connection.

Congratulations to you all!!

I can share my entries.
While yet again my work was not Stamping Royalty worthy, I still enjoyed the process.

Isn't that really what it's all about?

I truly love stamping, it makes me all warm & happy inside.

Did you know it was Kelly Booth that inspired my stamping journey with her designs over at the Hero Arts challenge Flickr group. She even sent me my first RAK of Hero Arts Stamps.

Yep, that's how it happened 7 years ago. True story friends!

I love this embossing folder that my friend Alice picked up at The Paper Source and I went out and bought as well. It was a perfect fit with the My favorite Things Four Corners dies.

I used the My Favorite Things Absract Petals  Stencil and Colorbox ink to create my background image and then stamped the little flowers in the center of the petals and added pearls. I got the ribbon from The Paper Source. Isn't it yummy!

Season's Greetings Category

I added bling and pearls to the Simon Says Stamp Border of this card.  I don't typically stamp with colored inks but I am trying to expand my comfort zone.

My friend Ashley Harris is sharing her designs too! Make sure you visit her blog and link up yours if you entered too!

Have a fantastic weekend friends!

Unity Thursday

Hello Unity friends! Thanks for taking the time to visit all of us today! You've reached the end of today's inspirational journey.
I hope you enjoyed everyone's creations. I know I always do.

So this week's sale is pretty sweet

**Sale starts at 12:00 p.m. central time**

Love that!

I am also loving the April KOTM. These images just make me want to color and color....

I just loved that jar of flowers, so I stamped it and grabbed my Copics...

 photo UT442014UW.jpg

And...this is what happened. I decided that the image was too pretty to use patterned paper with so just like this week's sale, I kept it simple.

The Unity Artistas really know how to woo us with beautiful images don't they?

There are so many more in this kit, I just love it.

Don't forget to head to Unity's Website and have your list ready!

Oh and here's the links to all participating Unity blogs in case you missed anyone.

Thank you so much for coming by today!

Albums Made Easy Monday: Insta Life

Hello friends. Thanks for joining me for another Albums Made Easy Monday. This week I want to share an idea for those of you that don't have a lot of time to spend scrapbooking.

I mentioned in my last Insta Life post that We R Memory Keepers had some 4x4 page inserts that were perfect for Instagram photos. Since I have my phone with me more than my camera I snapped a photo each day for a week.

Then I used the Rhonna Designs App to add the Day of the Week and other embellishments to the photos I took with my iPhone. I believe the app is 1.99 in iTunes.

At the end of the week I printed each of my images using my Cannon Selphy which prints a 4x4 image perfectly. You just need to trim away the extra length of the 4x6 paper.

I arranged each photo into the 4x4 Instagram photo sleeves and added my journaling.

 photo AMEMar31.jpg

Since there are 9 4x4 slots, you have two extra 4x4's to embellish as you chose.

 photo AMEMar31b.jpg

I used free cut file image I found from Pinterest for the celebrate life title and then I added a punched border strip and month die from My Favorite Things to My journaling card.

 photo AMEMar31a.jpg

I use the Xyron Sticker maker to add adhesive to die cut images.

The layout took me less than 30 mins to print and assemble. Not bad for someone who doesn't want to spend a too much time or alot of money putting their photos together.

I used We R Memory Keepers Snapshot Page kit by Teresa Collins for my inserts and journaling.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this quick way of memory keeping!

Have a creative day!
